In the 1900 hundreds, Oliver Thrall pioneered an innovative technique for the tobacco industry that decreased the crop’s sun exposure and increased humidity. This technique, better known as "shade Tobacco" allowed for the creation of an elite cigar wrapper that is still sought after to this day.
